Moonlit Wood.
Chapter.1
It was a crisp morning, sun rising in the sky like a newborn tulip sprouting up off a moist bed. Saundra was just waking up after a deep slumber. The corner of her eyes had those annoying crumbs that bother you till you get it out. Her breath reeked like week old tuna left out to rot. Her favorite pajamas with a black tank top and fuzzy blue and purple bottoms that had a
moon intertwined with stars were fit nicely against her limp body. She was warm under her semi thick wool blanket. Saundra sat up, half her body sitting up upon her lumpy mattress. Beside her bed on the left was a window. It was a small little thing that had a molded white wall to help it stand up straight. Eagerly she turned her head slowly, still full of sleep, and gazed out of it. Looking far as she could with those baggy sea green eyes and thick black hair coming out of its place and into her face, she watched the rising red sun.

I bet you are all wondering out there who i am. Me taking in the feeling and sights out a window. Doesn’t belong to me. Nothing does. I am invisible. A shadow on a wall that disappears when someone’s glory shines upon me. I am the darkness. I only have the things that matter most and that is the stars upon the sky.

Saundras pale hand arises up to her face and detained it on the windows black cracked covered edge. Memories of her past surged to her mind without her realizing it. Trying hard not to be over powered with it, she was to late. Darkness covered her mind and the vision of her past overcame her.

A inadequately beat down bus bumps and shakes down a very old fashioned street called Bockhollster. It goes over rocks, huge cracks, and pot holes every glide and jounce it makes. It passes by big fields of corn and old ranch houses that are beyond repair. Constraining the gas peddle it drives all the way down before it hits a big loop turn, right in front of a once decent house that was now ash and burnt wood. All that stood was a red brick chimeny that was about to collapse with the remaining bricks. In the spot that was once a place for stairs, sat alone with out a single guardian, a little girl. Dirt covered her face and mire clumps extended under her overgrown finger nails. She wore curtain rags for clothes and no shoes which exposed her bruised toes. The bus ceased and boisterously opened its concrete doors making a light breeze pull back her hair showing only cuts and bruises.
"Get in kid." said the proud king himself.
Disoriented wide green eyes stared up at the unfamiliar figure ahead that sat upon his torn and broken down thrown. Her black hair fell all over in curls and knots as she stumbled to her feet empty handed. Weakly she climbed up the stairs and sat in the first right seat with her head set in a way so that her hair covered her face.
"wheres your parents, kid." this man had a rough voice that was more like the kind you will find in some sort of brutal execution trial.
"the fire." the little girl whispered with chaped and open sores that covered her small hard lips. With a sad half smile, the man turned and looked at her with brown slit eyes and shook his head in disapproval.
"I know a place for you to go. I will drop you off."
30 minutes passed yet it seemed like hours in silence within the depths of the prison transportation. Finally with a jerk, the bus went to a halt.
"Here kid. Parnishing Creep Orphanage. Ms. Scarla will be in her office. Its on the first floor, and the very first door. You cant miss it. Tell her Ol’ Mercasil sent you. Tell her what happened if she ask."
The door to the bus creaked open loudly and she got unsteadily off her seat. Putting one sore foot in front of the other she pulled herself down the wet stairs.
"Oh and kid…little advice to you. Don’t get her mad. You don’t wanna get on ‘er bad side."
"Thank you." She whispered with those tiny lips. Finally on the ground she turned a 360 and the bus driver grumped and sped away with as much speed as the bus could go.
The little girl goes up the giant sized steps up to the evil castle like 10 ft high door with a gargoyle as a door knob. Big smeared windows stared at the ground all around the building. The brown and black bricks aluminate depression. She turns the handle and walks in to her future home.

Saundras focus finally turned the switch from memory/past to reality/present. Like a cat, she sits up and stretches her inflexible muscles. Jumping off her bed in a lazy way, she walks unbalanced against the wooden dirt floor and almost steps on one of the many nail
